Sudden and Significant Hike In Fuel Charges Disappoints Populace

fuelNew Delhi, Tuesday, May 5 – For almost 8 to 9 months, people enjoyed getting their vehicles’ tank filled with required petrol and diesel thanks to frequent drop in the prices of fuel required to run automobiles. But signs of worry augmented all of a sudden when cost of petrol prices and diesel moved up by INR.3.96 per litre and INR.2.37 per litre, respectively, following worldwide cues.

More than a few commuters who use personal means of transportation for commuting on a daily basis are feeling cheated. “Whatever reductions were done in the past is going to be compensated by this unapparent rise in the price. Even though, situations are far better now as compared to UPA’s rule, we can’t afford spending a lion’s share of money for fuel. It would be far better for us to opt for public transports which are comparatively cheaper”, said some people who reached petrol pumps before new prices were implemented.

The rise in rates of petrol and diesel means inflation in the near future as most of the eatables are transferred via commercial vehicles from one state to another. The threat of increase in prices of vegetables, fruits and other kitchen stapes is looming. Things going on in international market will be eyed as these have direct relationship between oil rates in the country.
