As a company famed for supplying quality chemicals of all kinds in the past decade, Alfa Chemistry never stops its efforts in bringing more value out for its customers. Multiple tools were and will be released online for free use.

New York, USA – September 28, 2020 – Alfa Chemistry announces that it now provides free access to a very useful tool-Mass Molarity Calculator for visitors to the website who holds true passion for chemistry and science. As a company famed for supplying quality chemicals of all kinds in the past decade, Alfa Chemistry never stops its efforts in bringing more value out for its customers. Multiple tools were and will be released online for free use.

Molarity describes the relationship between moles of a solute and the volume of a solution. The mass molarity calculator tool calculates the mass of compound required to achieve a specific molar concentration and volume.

“If you want to dilute a solution of known molarity, please use the Solution Dilution Calculator. And if you want determine the mass required to achieve a specified volume and concentration, then Mass Molarity Calculator would be the right choice,” says one of the senior scientists from Alfa Chemistry.

How to Use the Mass Molarity Calculator?

Mass, molar concentration, volume, and formula weight are related to each other as the following formula:
Mass (g) = Concentration (mol/L) * Volume (L) * Formula Weight (g/mol)

For example, if we want to prepare 500 mL of approximately 0.20 mol/L NaOH using solid NaOH. Since the concentration only needs to be known to two significant figures, the mass of NaOH and volume of solution do not need to be measured exactly. The desired mass of NaOH is

Mass = 0.2 mol/L* 0.5 L* 40 g/mol = 4 g

To prepare the solution we place 4.0 g of NaOH, weighed to the nearest tenth of a gram, in a bottle or beaker and add approximately 500 mL of water.

This is just a very simple example and the calculator can help solve more problems on the molarity or molar concentration of a solute.

“Proudly being a trust-worthy supplier of various chemicals such as APIs, nanomaterials, catalysts, building blocks, and plant extract, Alfa Chemistry never forgets its mission of tapping out more value for its customers.
